Good morning…

Sharing honestly from her heart, she texted. “With respect to this week, frankly, it is hard. The days just are hard. Things are hard in this chapter. I know that God will give me the strength I need,” she continued. “I know that this will work together for something I don’t yet understand. Right now though, I just feel weary and wounded.”

“Weary and wounded,” I texted back. “Those are such painful words. When I find myself at the intersection of weary and wounded, I envision Jesus having been here before, his living presence still lingering right with me. In oneness, he offers me another breath of the Spirit, the same Holy Spirit that coursed through his veins, lifting him from death to abundant new life.”

“When we are weary and wounded, only resurrection power makes any sense,” I concluded. God brought the Lord back to life, and by his power God will also bring us back to life (1 Corinthians 6:14, NOG).
