Good morning…

Ending yesterday’s blog post, one sentence from the Scripture verse returns to me during the dark hours of this new night. “Isaiah’s question, ‘Is there anyone around who knows God’s Spirit, anyone who knows what he is doing?’ has been answered: Christ knows, and we have Christ’s Spirit,” says 1 Corinthians 2:16 (ERV).

My mind now wonders quietly, “In the book of Isaiah, what question was actually asked?” Flipping back to the Old Testament, we unpack the reference. “Who could know the Lord’s mind? Who could be his teacher or give him advice?” asks Isaiah 40:13 (ERV). Here, the prophet Isaiah asks two questions, and God gives us one answer. “Christ knows, and we have Christ’s Spirit.” As our human spirit partners with Christ’s eternal Spirit, our brains are infused with the power of the living God.

Intuition.

Imagination.

Perception.

Will.

Reason.

Focus.

Memory.

Gratitude.

Allowing our spirit to be filled with Christ’s Spirit, we are empowered to live the unique life that is ours to live. I am drawn back to the beginning sentence of a prayer I met this week: “Jesus, may all that is you flow into me.”

With all of our innermost senses awakened and receptive, might this prayer be our deepest desire?

“Jesus, may all that is you flow into me.”
