Good morning…
As we walk step by step with our doting Daddy, our bare feet toddle into a new day. Touching on the song link at the end of yesterday’s post, the music video appearing next in my YouTube rotation is Lauren Daigle’s song “Trust In You.” Now being led by the LORD into these life-giving lyrics, we are grounded in the midst of unsettling times.
When You don’t move the mountains
I’m needing You to move
When You don’t part the waters
I wish I could walk through
When You don’t give the answers
As I cry out to You
I will trust, I will trust, I will trust in You
Pushed to the wall, I called to God; from the wide open spaces, he answered. God’s now at my side and I’m not afraid… Far better to take refuge in God than trust in people; Far better to take refuge in God than trust in celebrities… God’s my strength, he’s also my song, and now he’s my salvation. Hear the shouts, hear the triumph songs in the camp of the saved? “The hand of God has turned the tide! The hand of God is raised in victory! The hand of God has turned the tide!” (Excerpts from Psalm 118:5-16, MSG).
Often tides turn slowly but surely, as our fears transform to deeper faith. Waking to the beauty of a brand new dawn, if your fingers feel drawn, touch on this link and enjoy Lauren Daigle’s down-to-earth voice raising praise to our God: Trust In You.
