Good morning…
Discussing our constant need for prayer, one friend paraphrased a Max Lucado quote like this: “Anxieties, fears and regrets land on our windshield but then comes the wiper of prayer that causes them to depart.”
Later, another friend shared with us the exact quote in its entirety.

Let God In by Max Lucado
When we invite God into our world, he walks in. He brings a host of gifts: joy, patience, resilience. Anxieties come, but they don’t stick. Fears surface and then depart. Regrets land on the windshield, but then comes the wiper of prayer.
The Devil still hands me stones of guilt, but I turn and give them to Christ. Struggles come, for sure. But so does God. Prayer is not a privilege for the pious, not the art of a chosen few. Prayer is simply a heartfelt conversation between God and his child.
My friend, he wants to talk with you. Even now, as you read these words, he taps at the door. Open it. Welcome him in and let the conversation begin!

Prayer is a privilege for all of us who have anxieties come, who have fears surface, and who have regrets regularly land on our windshield.
Then we switch on our wiper of prayer, and we witness God wiping free our burdens.
Count yourself lucky, how happy you must be—
you get a fresh start,
your slate’s wiped clean.
Count yourself lucky—
God holds nothing against you
and you’re holding nothing back from him.
When I kept it all inside,
my bones turned to powder,
my words became daylong groans.
The pressure never let up;
all the juices of my life dried up.
Then I let it all out;
I said, “I’ll come clean about my failures to God.”
Suddenly the pressure was gone—
my guilt dissolved,
my sin disappeared.
These things add up. Every one of us needs to pray (Psalm 32:1-6a, MSG).
“Prayer is simply a heartfelt conversation between God and his child,” encourages Max. “My friend, he wants to talk with you. Even now, as you read these words, he taps at the door. Open it. Welcome him in and let the conversation begin!”
