Good morning…

The speaker at last night’s Bethel Music concert at the Infinite Energy Center said many empowering things. One word rising to the top of my morning-after brain is the word “unique.” She said we are not created the same. We are not created equal. By God, we are created “unique.”

As I dive into the definition of “unique,” these synonyms pop up. One-of-a-kind. Unlike anything else. Distinctive and individual. Unrepeated. Once-in-a-lifetime. The sole example.

Remember this? On the day humankind was conceived, God said, “Let Us (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) make man in Our image, according to Our likeness [not physical, but a spiritual personality and moral likeness]; and let them have complete authority over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the cattle, and over the entire earth, and over everything that creeps and crawls on the earth.” So God created man in His own image, in the image and likeness of God He created him; male and female He created them (Genesis 1:26-27, AMP).

What are the two primary things I now glean from this passage? First, people possess the very DNA of the Divine, we are each created as the “sole example” of one exclusive facet of our Creator’s infinite being. And second, with our “unique” spiritual personality and moral Christ-likeness, we are equipped to be hands-on caretakers of God’s great creation. 1 Corinthians 12:7 in the Amplified Bible tells us: But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit [the spiritual illumination and the enabling of the Holy Spirit] for the common good. For the good of the world, we are created “unique.”

What “unique” spiritual gifts do you see God growing in you? Please, cultivate these qualities for the benefit of all.
