Good morning…
What should be easy, is hard. What usually takes no time, is taking forever. What I often take for granted, is not happening right now. Plagued by continued computer issues, my communication is halted. No emails have come into my inbox since 12/19. Ugh. Unable to share new photos, I went back to this old image previously shared. Baby Jesus in a manger resting beneath the star.
God, what am I to learn as I sit in silence right now?
Like a magnet, I am quietly drawn to the Word of God. I open Biblegateway.com to check out the verse of the day.

Luke 2:8-12
Amplified Bible
8 In the same region there were shepherds staying out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. 9 And an angel of the Lord suddenly stood before them, and the glory of the Lord flashed and shone around them, and they were terribly frightened. 10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for [a]all the people. 11 For this day in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord (the Messiah). 12 And this will be a sign for you [by which you will recognize Him]: you will find a Baby wrapped in [swaddling] cloths and lying in a manger.”
Footnotes
Luke 2:10 I.e. Gentiles as well as Jews.

For many, these are familiar words shared every Christmas season. For me, right now, I am struck by the footnote. Included within the powerful message from the angel, the sentence reads: “Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for (Gentiles as well as Jews) all the people.”
Do not be afraid. Because you will find a Baby, great joy will be for Gentiles. Great joy will be for Jews. Great joy will be for all the people.
There has been born for you a Savior. You will recognize Him. Through you, great joy will spread to all people.
May God’s Word gradually bloom true for all of us.
