Good morning…
Last night, I got a text from a friend needing to change plans for today. She wrote: “I am not going to be able to tomorrow. Sad but I need to bare down on some unattended to personal issues.”
I texted her back right away: “The phrase ‘bare down’ reminds me of the process of natural childbirth. Really, really hard work, but definitely well worth the painful effort. I am praying for you as you give birth to God’s plan for these pressing personal issues. I love you, sweet friend.”
All around us we observe a pregnant creation. The difficult times of pain throughout the world are simply birth pangs. But it’s not only around us; it’s within us. The Spirit of God is arousing us within. We’re also feeling the birth pangs, Romans 8:22-23a (MSG),
