Good morning…
I began this tradition last year and got such a great response. Through Northside Church, we create a Summertime Devotional based on everyone’s favorite blog posts throughout the year. Last year on Valentine’s Day, I asked you to identify your favorite of my morning messages, and your response was phenomenal. So, I am asking for your help again.
Some of you keep a file of your favorite morning messages and you can “reply” to this message and send me the titles of your favorite posts from 2015. Others of you might want to go through my “sue2you” website and read through past posts, choosing some of your favorites. Others of you might have a general thought about what touched you, “That one with your Stromboli recipe,” or “I remember that one sharing wisdom from the widow who plans to kick the shit out of plan B,” or one word like “Consolation.” Whatever way you choose to identify your favorites is just fine for me. I will take your favorites, tally them up, and be sure to include in this year’s Summertime Devotional the messages you love best.
As a side note, we are debating about making a hard copy of the devotional this year (we’ve done it for the past 10 years and handed them out on Mother’s Day morning to our church family and anyone interested). This year, we are considering saving time and money, not printing hard copies, but instead having the Summertime Devotional available online only. This would allow for us to include the messages which contained a video component. If you have an opinion about this decision, one way or another, please share it with me, “It really doesn’t matter to me,” “I’d be happy with just the online version,” or “I would really miss the hard copy, please try to print it.”
