Good morning…
You know I wake up whenever God wakes me. He wakens me morning by morning, wakens my ear to listen like one being taught (Isaiah 50:4b, NIV). First things first. I brew a few mugs of coffee, I curl up in silent solitude, and, with a great sense of expectancy, I open my Bible, my journal, and my whole heart.
Every morning, I trust God to speak into my mind a word of truth, a word of truth I then share with you. I pray this prayer for each of us daily: “LORD, every word you give me is a miracle word—how could I help but obey? Break open your words, let the light shine out, let ordinary people see the meaning” (Psalm 119:129-130, MSG).
As we live in union with the God who awakens, Christ’s loving light glows through us, dispelling the darkness within and around.
