Good morning…

God is weaving wonderful wisdom through our daily blog right now. If we are to enjoy the passage of time, we need to empty ourselves of poisonous anger, follow in Christ’s forgiving footprints, and notice God’s unconditional love expanding to heal everything, within us and around us. Prayerfully pondering our past posts, I can sense what God is saying.

  1. Human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires (James 1:20).
  2. To forgive even the worst offender, we commit to not talk badly about the person, we commit to not think badly about the person, we commit to pray for the person, “letting it all be” in the care of our Creator, and we trust God to birth in us the feeling of forgiving love, over time and in God’s way.
  3. On our own we can not shed anger, we can not love, heal, or forgive. Yet when we surrender to God’s everyday invitation, we are enveloped in Christ, we are carried into oneness with the Father by the Spirit, and we are freed to enjoy the passage of time. Safely surrounded by God’s unconditional love for all, we overflow with the LORD’s living love, helping to heal our hurting world.

The Holy Spirit confirms this:

This new plan I’m making…
    isn’t going to be written on paper,
    isn’t going to be chiseled in stone;
This time “I’m writing out the plan in them,
    carving it on the lining of their hearts.”

…So let’s do it—full of belief, confident that we’re presentable inside and out. Let’s keep a firm grip on the promises that keep us going. He always keeps his word. Let’s see how inventive we can be in encouraging love and helping out… (Hebrews 10:15-17, 22-24, MSG).
