Good morning…
After snapping a photo of still branches silhouetted in purple gray, I revisit a quote shared by a friend before the dawn of a new day.
“Sit with it. Sit with it. Sit with it. Sit with it. Even though you want to run. Even when it’s heavy and difficult. Even though you’re not quite sure of the way through. Healing happens by feeling.” – Dr. Rebecca Ray
Then another quote connects more of my divergent dots.
“When I go to the place where I am feeling a feeling, I go to the place where God and I are touching.” – James Whitehead
Joy. Fear. Anger. Sadness. All their subtle forms. Each feeling invites us into intimacy with our living, loving God.
Sit with God. Sit with God. Sit with God. Sit with God. Even though I want to run. Even when it’s heavy and difficult. Even though I’m not quite sure of the way through. Healing happens by feeling, by sitting in the place where God and I are touching.
I want you woven into a tapestry of love, in touch with everything there is to know of God. Then you will have minds confident and at rest, focused on Christ, God’s great mystery. All the richest treasures of wisdom and knowledge are embedded in that mystery and nowhere else. And we’ve been shown the mystery! (Colossians 2:2-3, MSG).
