Good morning…
My friendship with inspiring fitness instructor Martha Kimbel is truly a gift from God.
At 6:07 am yesterday, Martha texted me. “I have our new song on repeat this morning & it’s better than coffee! 💃🏻🎶 Loved your message again this morning & I’m so deeply honored to be in the same writing as Katherine Wolf. You have blessed me beyond measure. I love you, my darling Sue.💕😘”
“God is such an extravagant gift-giver,” I replied. “His outpouring comes often as a joyful surprise. This prayer came today from a friend, and I extend the peaceful blessing to you.
Today I lay down my ambitions, fears, and dreams before You. I choose Your will above mine. God isn’t a dictator—but a Father. His will is not just right; it’s good, wise, and full of love. Sometimes we try to fit God into our plans. But true transformation happens when we fit into His.🧡 His will doesn’t crush you—it carries you. Today’s miracle thought: Surrender is not weakness—it’s the deepest form of trust.
As we remain centered in the will of the God who began this good work in us, we lay everything down. We choose God’s will, again. We are transformed. We are carried. We surrender into deeper and deeper trust. How grateful I am that God chose us to facilitate this new fitness class together.💕”
At 12:34 pm, Martha texted again: “Sue, would you share these words tomorrow as our closing prayer time?”
“Certainly,” I replied.
So, this morning with a class full of women of all ages and all life stages, from pregnant moms through those in their 80s, together we will pray to God.
Might we each lay everything down today, choosing God’s will instead of our own?
Be transformed. Be carried. Surrender into deeper and deeper trust.
For God has placed in their hearts to do what He has purposed, that is, to become one in mind and to surrender…until the words of God accomplish their end (Revelation 17:17, VOICE).
…Sue…
P.S. Martha and I welcome you to join us for God’s new fitness class, the Ministry of Movement, hosted from 8:30 to 9:30 am on Wednesdays in the Fellowship Hall at Northside Church.
