Good morning…
As I nested in the rainy darkness following the Cold Moon’s first waning moments, I received the surprise of four photos within a few early hours. First came a photo from Norway. “The full moon over our house this morning, 8AM,” wrote my lifelong friend. Wow. Oh wow.

Then came another text and a series of photos. “Good morning, Sue!” wrote another longtime friend. “I was inspired by your posts to capture the Cold Moon from the Naples Botanical Gardens last night. A challenge to capture the brilliance of the moon against God’s nature dressed up with seasonal lights.”

God’s powerful presence glows across our globe. Sometimes serene; sometimes supercharged. Sometimes simple; sometimes sensationalized. Sometimes quiet; sometimes quite loud. With God in charge, we are surrounded by surprises.
As John Claypool once remarked, “God’s other name is always Surprise.”
With every sun’s rising, surprise us with Your love, satisfy us with Your kindness. Then we will sing with joy and celebrate every day we are alive (Psalm 90:14, VOICE).
…Sue…
