Good morning…
We set up our new pack and play and got out some of the rattles, books, and blankets given to us when our first grandson was born. What fun to host Charlie and his parents, Kyler and Chandler, for two nights this weekend. We enjoyed coffee together each morning before they headed onto their full days.
On Saturday morning, we discussed at length the talk our son Kyler will give tonight for The Fight Against Suicide event at the University of Georgia. Founded in 2021 in memory of UGA student, athlete, and fraternity brother Sam Asbury, TFAS is redefining how suicide prevention looks on college campuses across the country. Growing up, Kyler played baseball with Sam at NYO, and now he is the Director of Campus Outreach, a life-on-life faith ministry with UGA students.
This evening, Kyler will speak along with Adam Archer, longtime Young Life leader who has mentored our kids and many others in the Atlanta area. In honor of Sam, with various events planned throughout the week, the UGA community will gathering to fight back against suicide.
Through this creative, hands-on outreach, let’s pray that many young people are inspired to combat anxiety and depression with Jesus in their corner.
