dawn

Good morning…

I feel like I am living in a pre-dawn haze, not knowing, not seeing, not understanding life’s larger landscape. ALS raging. Cancer ravaging. Addiction killing. Grief strangling. Poverty depleting. Division splintering.

God, what are you doing inside and among us?

dawn

God’s light dawns quietly, like a heavenly dimmer switch, steadily allowing compassionate clarity to slowly inch up.

We are not in charge of this day’s dawning. Totally dependent, we learn to trust the LORD’s eternal timing. Remaining intimately connected, we notice fresh shades of illumination. Believing before seeing clearly, we sense the mysterious power of muted pastels.

Let the dawning day bring me revelation of your tender, unfailing love. Give me light for my path and teach me, for I trust in you (Psalm 143:8, TPT).
