Good morning…

A gorgeous sunset was followed by a rare phenomenon.

“A stunning near-total partial lunar eclipse occurred overnight between August 27 and August 28, 2026,” says Space.com. “At its peak, the Earth’s dark central shadow, or umbra, covered 96.2% of the full Sturgeon Moon, tinting it a dramatic crimson or copper “blood moon” color.”

The Lord made the moon to mark off the seasons (Psalm 104:19a, NIRV).

Mesmerized, a friend wrote from California, sharing her own breathtaking view. “The lunar eclipse here last night,” she texted. “The feminine energy and beauty of the blood moon. Thought I would share.”

Exchanging photos, we were in awe of the God who is powerfully present, marking off the passing seasons of our fleeting lives.

Using your own phone, might you snap a few pictures of big and small ways you see God’s miraculous presence today? Who might be encouraged by a photo you feel nudged to share?

Enjoy sharing the awe.
