Good morning…

As I reflect upon this school year, I am amazed at the growth God has orchestrated at PAWkids in the Grove Park neighborhood of our city. People connected to our Women’s Ministry at Northside Church facilitated fun arts and crafts activities in the after school program for two hours every week. Excited kids tapped into their unique strengths and freely expressed their creativity.

Quirky personalities got to know us and felt free to come out and play.

Week after week, dependable volunteers from our community shared time and supplies and love.

Every other week, different generous groups signed up to bring and to serve a family style meal.

A big thanks goes out to all the loving volunteers who made this school year so successful. Joy abounds as we see the kingdom of God expanding in our midst. Jesus called to the people: “Let the little children come to Me. Never hinder them! Don’t you realize—the kingdom of God belongs to those who are like children?” (Luke 18:16, VOICE).

P.S. The PAWkids staff provides weekly programming for the neighborhood kids throughout the summer. You can donate to support their important efforts by using the “Summer Program” drop down on the PAWkids website.

P.S.S. If you live in the Atlanta area, please consider joining us as a volunteer in the after school program this fall. We will be switching our arts and crafts activities to Mondays 4:00 to 6:00 pm in September. Be looking for a link to a Sign Up Genius from me in late August.
