Good morning…

I brew a twelve cup pot of coffee before our house guests stir and marvel in amazement at the gifts God stirred up in us. “Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you,” says our central Scripture from yesterday’s Awake To Wholeness Women’s Retreat. “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and love and a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:6-7, NKJV).

So many incredibly powerful gifts were stirred up by God during yesterday’s retreat. The story. The Spirit. The science of awakening. God wove with us a multifaceted tapestry. Piano. Poetry. Practicing God’s presence. Into our individual vessels God poured power, love, sound energy and information. The beauty of each breath. Brain and heart coherence. Being renewed, one micro-moment at a time. Offering a sustained state of deep gratitude, God and our friend Betty Skinner stirred up from heaven abundantly more than we could have ever imagined.

Last night we enjoyed a delicious celebration dinner with the generous planning team. These delightful women worked diligently for over two years to bring our retreat day to life. Trying to tangibly express my thanks, I took a light blue box full of jewelry I handmade through the playful guidance of artist Corinne Adams. To remember the one of a kind day, each woman – presenter, pianist, planner – chose a symbol of the “stirring up of gifts” God orchestrated through us.

On this All Saints Sunday morning, I am so thankful for all who joined us, in body and in spirit. Now I read these words from the introduction of our guiding book, The Hidden Life Awakened by Kitty Crenshaw and Dr. Cathy Snapp.

“Our saintly friend has come to the end of her journey now, but as we continue on the path we are each called to, she gently reaches out to us and says, “Take His hand now, even as I am offering you mine, and in the warmth of such all-compelling love, let us follow Him together.”

Betty’s soft hands helped to place our hands in the hand of the living Christ. In the warmth of empowering, eternal love, let’s follow Him together.
