night

Good morning…

This week a song is gently marching through my mind. God personalizes the chorus. “I will send out an army to find you in the middle of the darkest night. Sue, it’s true, I will rescue you.” Lauren Daigle’s voice repeats over and over again. As I rest. As I wake. As I drive. As I cook. As I clean. “Sue, it’s true, I will rescue you.”

Then a blossoming occurs. The chorus begins to orchestrate my own private prayers. “Peg, it’s true, I will rescue you.” “Margaret, it’s true, I will rescue you.” “Marie, it’s true, I will rescue you.” “Cathy, it’s true, I will rescue you.” “Kelley, it’s true, I will rescue you.” “Martha, it’s true, I will rescue you.” And so on marches my list of vulnerable loved ones, marching in step with the powerful God of peace.

Now, I invite you to enjoy below the captivating music video of Lauren’s song “Rescue.” Might you fold your own name into the chorus, again and again, until the Spirit sweeps you up into deep prayer for others?

And I know the Lord will continue to rescue me from every trip, trap, snare, and pitfall of evil and carry me safely to His heavenly kingdom. May He be glorified throughout eternity. Amen (2 Timothy 4:18, VOICE).

…Sue…
