Good morning…
This Mother’s Day week, I marvel at the way God is growing our youngest son.
Finishing strong his junior year at the University of Georgia, Jeremiah has grown in some very significant ways. Initiative. Motivation. Expanding an idea outside the traditional box. After doing various odd jobs over the past several summers and removing Christmas trees annually in the winter, Jeremiah has honed in on his favorite hardworking handyman job: pressure washing.
All on his own, Jeremiah went to the small business office at UGA to learn how to start his own pressure washing business. He came up with a name, Bulldogs Pressure Washing, owned and operated by UGA students. He purchased a domain. He worked with a logo company and created his own website. He got his own business license, becoming licensed and insured. Going to the bank himself, he opened up a business account, linking it to his personal bank account. He upgraded his equipment to make his handiwork top notch. Possessing an entrepreneurial spirit since he was a young boy, Jeremiah has found ways to bring creative ideas to life. This life-giving quality I have always admired. Reaching out to customers from previous jobs, yesterday Jeremiah launched his first small business.
My husband and I agree, even if Jeremiah’s business is not as lucrative as he hopes, the inner drive, the strength of character, and the stick-to-it-ive-ness he has displayed throughout this creative process is priceless, just priceless. The path of those who do right is like the sun in the morning. It shines brighter and brighter until the full light of day (Proverbs 4:18, NIRV). I sense this divine dynamic opening a pathway before the wet work boots of Jeremiah.
This Mother’s Day week, I marvel at the way God is growing our youngest son.
