Good morning…
“Sue, you might want to check the list of people on your blog,” Jennifer DeShetler texted after yesterday’s heartbreaking post, Audrey Relapsed Again. “There have to be real angels of God reading. Dr. Kushner called Ben this morning.”
“Wow,” I replied. “I have chills, Jennifer. God is at work in ways we cannot see or understand. So grateful this connection was made.”
Angels in the Bible are messengers from God, making heavenly connections, whispering hope, “Do not be afraid.” So many of us serve as angels, stepping into the cloudy gap, praying fervently for Audrey and the DeShelters. One woman emailed this encouragement: “Sue – Hi! This is our daily prayer from one of our Peachtree Road UMC’s ministers. Made me think of Jennifer. Please share with her if you think it might be helpful.”

Rev. Daniel Ogle
Loving God,
You provide all we need to persevere through trials and to experience your abundant life in faith. We give you thanks that you do not abandon us when times are hard, but instead that we can trust in your promises and rest in the assurance that you are always with us. We do not face the inevitable trials and hardships on our own but do so anchored in the truth that nothing can separate us from your love in Jesus Christ. Thank you for your commitment to us that never wavers and enables us to live with faith and hope each day.
In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Grabbing our attention, the Spirit moves through us in mysterious ways.
Is there anyplace I can go to avoid your Spirit?
to be out of your sight?
If I climb to the sky, you’re there!
If I go underground, you’re there!
If I flew on morning’s wings
to the far western horizon,
You’d find me in a minute—
you’re already there waiting!
Then I said to myself, “Oh, he even sees me in the dark!
At night I’m immersed in the light!”
It’s a fact: darkness isn’t dark to you;
night and day, darkness and light, they’re all the same to you (Psalm 139:7-12, MSG).
In what mysterious ways might we sense ourselves being God’s messengers of hope this morning?
…Sue…
