end

Good morning…

After our soulful walk this week, my friend sent me two thought-provoking images. The first speaks to a common fear.

end

Ending a year. Ending a life phase. Ending the “normal” we’ve come to know and to love. We often struggle with endings, don’t we?

The second image she shared guides us forward.

What, my friends, might we do with our fear?

say-less

We say less.

We slow down.

We spend time

developing

a clearer perspective.

God’s peace moves purposefully and gently.

The words of Jesus provide a safe place of rest. “I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace. In the world you have tribulation and distress and suffering, but be courageous [be confident, be undaunted, be filled with joy]; I have overcome the world.” [My conquest is accomplished, My victory abiding.] (John 16:33, AMP).

P.S. I thank all of you who have prayed for my mom as she recovers from her most recent surgery. She settles into a new normal having returned to the skilled nursing center at their senior living community in Ohio. My parents had a wonderful time at last night’s festive dinner dance. Enjoying the live big band music, the Hokey Pokey and the chicken dance were fan favorites! Thank you for your continued prayers.
