Good morning…
“Grief is just love with nowhere to go,” lingers a line from his recent funeral.
When we are face to face, we can show love. We can share love. We can express love. We can receive love. We can shower love. We can speak love. We can exchange love. We can hear love. We can touch love. We can smell love. We can sense love. We can know love. We can enjoy love. We can trust love. We can celebrate love.
But when we are separated, what are we do with our heart-load of love?
“Tears may flow in the night,
but joy comes in the morning,” promises our ever-present Daddy.
“I called to you, Lord;
I begged for your help.” Now what am I to do until joy wakes again?
“Hear me, Lord, and be merciful!
Help me, Lord!” I beg again and again. Will you keep your promise?
Over time our story morphs into His story. In God’s time, in God’s uncanny way.
“You have changed my sadness into a joyful dance;
you have taken away my sorrow and surrounded me with joy” (Psalm 30:5b, 8, 10-11, GNT).
Our aching love turns to deep grief. Before God’s enduring love rises up, transformed into joy.
