Good morning…
We had discussed driving together so she called to confirm plans. After talking a bit, she said, “I was thinking I would go, I’d like to go, but I’m not sure going would be the best use of my time.”
After tossing possibilities back and forth, back and forth, I said, “Okay. Why don’t you take some time to pray over the option you think is God’s choice for you. Then, when you get a sense of what’s best, call me back with the answer you discern.”
Later she called to fill me in on the decision she and God had made together.
If Psalm 139:1-5 (CEV) is true, might our living LORD help us to prioritize our time during this busy holiday season, maximizing the impact of each moment?
You have looked deep
into my heart, Lord,
and you know all about me.
You know when I am resting
or when I am working,
and from heaven
you discover my thoughts.
You notice everything I do
and everywhere I go.
Before I even speak a word,
you know what I will say,
and with your powerful arm
you protect me
from every side.
Resting and working in God’s powerful, protective arms, might we tap into the LORD’s wider wisdom as we make daily decisions?
