Good morning…

God the Father did not work alone. As we have already read …the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters (Genesis 1:2). Also helping to create everything from nothing, we hear of Jesus Christ’s presence. In John 1:1-5 (AMP) we read: In the beginning [before all time] was the Word (Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself. He was [continually existing] in the beginning [co-eternally] with God. All things were made and came into existence through Him; and without Him not even one thing was made that has come into being. In Him was life [and the power to bestow life], and the life was the Light of men. The Light shines on in the darkness…

God the Father. God the Spirit. God the Son. Our Triune God was relational, collaborative, interactive from the start. Remember? The Father said to the other two co-creators, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness?” (Genesis 1:26) We too are made relational, collaborative, interactive right from the start. Then when the time was right, our three-in-one Creator gave a personal, powerful gift to humanity.

The Word became flesh and blood,
and moved into the neighborhood.
We saw the glory with our own eyes,
the one-of-a-kind glory,
like Father, like Son,
Generous inside and out,
true from start to finish (John 1:14, MSG).

Christ was, is, and always will be the Light shining on in the dark, bestowing life to all. Jesus explains, “I came so that everyone would have life, and have it in its fullest” (John 10:10, CEV).

How well are you getting to know this generous neighbor?

…Sue…
