Good morning…
When I drive solo I drive in silence. No radio. No podcasts. No books on tape. I look around. I think my thoughts. I take in beauty, town to town. I notice. I wonder. I process life.
While driving through the colorful hills of North Carolina this weekend, a bumpersticker smiled at me, “Life is good.” My thoughts nodded and smiled back. Meandering through the mountains, my mind expanded on the truth, “Life is good and life is hard.” The inseparable awareness was undeniable. Miles and miles down the road, my stream of consciousness flowed even further, “Life is good and life is hard and God is great and God’s love is easy.”
God wants us to grow up, to know the whole truth and tell it in love—like Christ in everything. We take our lead from Christ, who is the source of everything we do. He keeps us in step with each other. His very breath and blood flow through us, nourishing us so that we will grow up healthy in God, robust in love (Ephesians 4:15-16, MSG).
