Good morning…

“It’s the unknown which God’s enemy uses to create fear, worry, anxiety,” she quietly shared.

Once we accept life as it is, uncertainty and all, we can face God’s opponent saying with confidence, “You meant to hurt me, but God turned your evil into good to save the lives of many people, which is being done” (Genesis 50:20, NCV). With God, good is always being done, lives are always being saved, and people are always growing gradually more whole. This transformational process is happening day and night, God turning what seems horribly “bad” into graciously “good.” For example, the feeling of “yuck” after scarfing down three large cookies can morph into new awareness when we allow the “bad” feeling to draw us into “good” honest prayer.

Her email went on to explain: “Because of the lack of answers I have received from my repeated biopsies, I have learned to tell God that I am scared AND that I trust Him completely. For me, these two things are never mutually exclusive. I am grateful that God has used the pain and tragedy in my life to bring me to a place of surrender and trust. I have felt my Sustainer’s steady hand and unwavering love, in the middle of the raging storms and at the bottom of deep, dark pits. I have CHOSEN to continue to trust our living LORD. Yet knowing that God transforms ‘bad’ into ‘good’ does not mean that I won’t face more disappointment and hardships, even tragedy, but I know that God will be right there beside me. I have learned, ‘Trusting the power of God’s healing presence is enough.'”

She concluded: “Philippians 4:7 says, ‘And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.’ And I have learned to add …if we let Him. This is one of the most personal and comforting verses in the Bible because I know it to be true.”
