Good morning…
Frustrated by no available parking spot, we sat stuck in a long line of cars trying to escape the crazy Costco crowd.
“Look at this,” I said to my husband. “Traffic has not been this bad since before the pandemic.” With more and more people feeling freed by vaccination, I fear we are driving again toward frustrated. Stuck. Crazy. Crowds.
“Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God,” whispers the Corrie ten Boom quote I discovered this week. The Bible echoes this enduring truth: “God, you are the one who saves us” (Isaiah 12:2a, NIRV).
When frustration revs up, God, you are the one who saves us.
When we feel surrounded by “stuck,” God, you are the one who saves us.
When craziness steal our peace, God, you are the one who saves us.
When hectic crowds close in again, God, you are the one who saves us.
As the winds of the world pick up speed, we each have one choice to make: “What will hold my focus – fear of an unknown future or trust in the powerful God I know?”
“God, you are the one who saves us. We will trust in you. Then we won’t be afraid. Lord, you are the one who gives us strength. You are the one who keeps us safe. Lord, you have saved us” (Isaiah 12:2, NIRV).
