Good morning…
As she shares her instagram post from December 31st, 2022, important questions echo back to me.
What are you loving?
What are you learning?
What are you leaving?
I make three headings on the top of a blank page. LOVING? LEARNING? LEAVING? Then words trickle into place.
LOVING? Family time. Soul friends. Working at church. Enjoying class discussions. Writing to process myself. Prayerfully trying to listen to God. Spiritual direction experiences. Spending time outside. Long hot baths most days.
LEARNING? Let non-essentials fall away. Be part of God’s solution. Balance solitude and authentic relationships. Be where love is needed.
LEAVING? The decade of my 50s. Shedding the 5 C’s – control, compare, compete, complain, criticize. Letting go of ego and excess.
As we tiptoe into 2023, now it’s your turn.
What are you loving?
What are you learning?
What are you leaving?
Might you try this this clarifying exercise? Make three headings on the top of a blank page. LOVING? LEARNING? LEAVING? Then allow words to trickle into place.
We have cause to celebrate because the grace of God has appeared, offering the gift of salvation to all people. Grace arrives with its own instruction: run away from anything that leads us away from God; abandon the lusts and passions of this world; live life now in this age with awareness (Titus 2:11-12a, VOICE).
LOVE celebrating the grace of God which offers salvation to all people.
LEARN to live life now in this age with increasing awareness.
LEAVE anything that leads away from God.
