Good morning…
On Sunday afternoon, thirteen of us returned home from our life-giving time away at Heritage Retreat Center, having shared a blessed weekend as Strangers Became Friends. Our group text string has been poppin’ all week, bursting with fun photos, good wishes, and kind words.
Our central Scripture continues to captivate us. The mystery in a nutshell is just this: Christ is in you (Colossians 1:27a, MSG).
With Christ in us, we stir up and serve to the world the gracious gifts of God each day. Here is the acronym, S.T.I.R. U.P., which guided our time together.
S. – Savor Six Senses
T. – Trust God’s Time
I. – “I” Must Die
R. – Release All Resistance
U. – Unite With God
P. – Power Rises Up
Grow God’s Gifts
Savor.
Trust.
Let the “Big I” die.
Release.
Unite.
Power rises up,
as we grow the gifts of God.
Now, I turn to each of you and share the good news. The mystery in a nutshell is just this: Christ is in you.
On this new day, might we all find a way to stir up and serve the gifts God has implanted in us?
