Good morning…
We began our monthly spiritual growth group with this Thomas Keating quote in mind. “The spiritual journey does not require going anywhere because God is already with us and in us.”
We can lie in bed, quietly recovering. God is already with us and in us.
We can stay home, because it just feels right. God is already with us and in us.
We can circle up close with our dear friends and family. God is already with us and in us.
Then we read out loud these words on page 247 from the final chapter of Wintering: The Power of Rest and Retreat in Difficult Times by Katherine May.

Recognize winter. Greet it. Let it in. God is already with us and in us.
Feeling the drag of winter? Treat yourself like a favored child: with kindness and love. God is already with us and in us.
Your needs are reasonable and your feelings signal something important. God is already with us and in us.
Eat well. Sleep enough. Walk in fresh air. Do what soothes you. God is already with us and in us.
Ask, “What is that winter all about?” Ask, “What change is coming?” God is already with us and in us.
People are not going to say, “Look! Here it is!” They’re not going to say, “Look! It’s over there!” You want to see the kingdom of God? The kingdom of God is already here among you (Luke 17:21, VOICE).
These final days of this Lenten season, God is already with us and in us.
Our spiritual journey does not require us to go anywhere.
