Good morning…
Enjoying our new Monday afternoon time slot, we kicked-off our first PAWkids gathering with an energizing cook-out. Harnessing the power of creative expression, we made a “We Love PAWkids” banner, played tic-tac-toe, traced with stencils/makers/paint sticks, and decorated everything (and everyone) with heart stickers.
After dinner, we played fun games with a beach ball and a parachute. Spending after-school time together in the Grove Park neighborhood of our city, it felt really, really good to gather again on a gorgeous, sunny day.
Smiling, hugging, creating, we sensed the joy of the Lord bubbling up all over. As Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me; do not get in their way. For the kingdom of heaven belongs to children like these” (Matthew 19:14, VOICE). The kingdom of heaven belongs to children, young and old, children just like these.
