Good morning…
“Nothing on our spiritual journey is ever final,” says The Hidden Life Awakened on page 104. “It is an ongoing process moving us deeper and deeper. It is a continuous change and movement from what is good (that place where most of us live, desiring to love and serve God) to what is better (an open and intense desire to hear God) to what is best (when all of our prayer becomes service and all of our service becomes prayer).”
Ninety-four-year-old Christian mystic Betty Skinner admits: “Most of us stay in the good and never attain the better or the best because the inner work of change is so difficult, our fears are so great, and there are so few to love us and guide us there.”
Your life is a journey you must travel with a deep consciousness of God (1 Peter 1:18, MSG).

P.S. When Lisa Miller’s dream life came crashing down, fortunately she had a faith-filled grandmother to love her and to guide her into the inner work of change, from the good she had hoped for, through the better she experienced, into the best that now surrounds her. For Northside Church matriarch Betty Wallace and now her granddaughter Lisa Miller, all of prayer is becoming service and all of service is becoming a prayer. To hear Lisa’s inspirational story, to enjoy a moving communion, and to receive your 2020 Lenten devotional, please plan to join us next Tuesday night, the 25th, from 6:30 to 8:00 pm in the Northside Church Music Suite for our Women’s Lenten Communion Service.
