Good morning…
On the birthday of my faraway father, I went to an outdoor memorial service for my friend’s dad, a celebration of life hosted at the duck pond near his earthly home. Life-giving stories were shared. Tenderizing tears were shed. Together we experienced these words printed in the bulletin.

PRAYER OF REMEMBRANCE
Leader: We will remember Bob in the rising sun and it’s going down,
People: We will remember him.
Leader: In the blowing of the wind and the chill of winter,
People: We will remember him.
Leader: In the opening buds and the rebirth of spring,
People: We will remember him.
Leader: In the blueness of the sky and in the warmth of the summer,
People: We will remember him.
Leader: In the rustling of the leaves and in the beauty of autumn,
People: We will remember him.
Leader: In the beginning of the year and when it ends,
People: We will remember him.
Leader: So long as we live, he too shall live through Jesus Christ, our Lord, for he is now a part of us.
People: We remember him. Amen.

As I drove home from the touching service, I snapped the photo above. It seems heaven, in reply, broke through the setting sky, “Remember we live as one.”
My old identity has been co-crucified with Christ and no longer lives. And now the essence of this new life is no longer mine, for the Anointed One lives his life through me—we live in union as one! My new life is empowered by the faith of the Son of God who loves me so much that he gave himself for me, dispensing his life into mine! (Galatians 2:20, TPT).
