On September 1st, Jennifer DeShetler posted the tribute above to her daughter, Audrey. I zoomed in close and read the plaque resting in the right front corner of the photo.
“She is a mountain moving,
giant slaying,
world changing warrior.
She walks with Jesus.
That is her
game changing strategy.”
What a perfect description of audacious Audrey, who lived life to the fullest for nearly twenty years on this earth. The two Bible verses cited sum up the infectious beauty of Audrey’s character.
I can do all things
through Christ
who strengthens me.

Don’t panic.
I’m with you.
There’s no need to fear
for I’m your God.
I’ll give you strength.
I’ll help you.
I’ll hold you steady,
keep a firm grip on you.

Following the example of Audrey, might we adopt her game changing strategy?
Walking with Jesus when we’re feeling lonely. Walking with Jesus when we’re crying hard. Walking with Jesus when our heart breaks in pieces. Living to the fullest while we’re here on earth, we are invited to walk with Jesus. Just like Audrey modeled, we can do all things through Christ who gives us strength.
“Don’t panic,” whispers our living Lord. “I am with you. I will help you. I will hold you steady.”
