Good morning…
On September 1st, Jennifer DeShetler posted the tribute above to her daughter, Audrey. I zoomed in close and read the plaque resting in the right front corner of the photo.
“She is a mountain moving,
giant slaying,
world changing warrior.
She walks with Jesus.
That is her
game changing strategy.”
What a perfect description of audacious Audrey, who lived life to the fullest for as long as her lungs had breath. The two Bible verses cited sum up the infectious beauty of Audrey’s character.
I can do all things
through Christ
who strengthens me.
– Philippians 4:13 (JUB)
Don’t panic.
I’m with you.
There’s no need to fear
for I’m your God.
I’ll give you strength.
I’ll help you.
I’ll hold you steady,
keep a firm grip on you.
– Isaiah 41:10 (MSG)
Following the example of Audrey, may we adopt her game changing strategy? Even when we have a hard cry and our heart breaks in pieces, we are invited to walk with Jesus. Just like Audrey modeled, we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.
