Good morning…
On Saturday, we received this photo of our three month old grandson Charlie with our son Kyler. His text read, “First time at the pool! He’s wearing his hat from aunt Adri.”
What a great way to celebrate Charlie’s first Labor Day weekend.
Not living in the same town, we realize that our life as a family is lived from holiday to holiday, visit to visit, special moment to special moment. Last week we went to Athens to care for Charlie so that Kyler and Chandler could go out to dinner for their third wedding anniversary. Our daughter Tessa, who lives in Athens, also joined us. The joy generated was so palpable!
Each of us are part of a unique family, a family that evolves and changes as the years go by. As we broaden the scope of family, we see that each of us are members of the human race, each children of the living God.
“Love wisdom like a sister,” says Proverbs 7:4 (NLT), “make insight a beloved member of your family.”
As we are guided by the wisdom of our Creator, might we each seek to make insight a beloved family member? Snapping photos along the way, we will journey together from holiday to holiday, visit to visit, special moment to special moment, year after year.
