Good morning…
There are times when the world we knew and loved comes to an end. Life as it used to be is over. Cherished comfort is lost. The unknown unnerves us. Even Jesus himself knows how it feels. About three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” (which means “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”) (Matthew 27:46, NIV).
Inside the dark cocoon, might praying out our lonely anguish to God, our God, be the most basic instinct?
When we step into the darkness of the unknown, we must believe. Something solid will meet our feet or some new inner strength will spread out like wings. But those who wait for the Lord will receive new strength. They will lift up their wings and soar like eagles (Isaiah 40:31a, EHV).
In the fullness of time, as we trust more and more, might we notice God meeting our feet daily and spreading out our strength like a new set of wings?

P.S. We continue to pray for the inner strength of Elizabeth (age 37) and Marleigh (age 36) who are both journeying with God through their personalized cancer treatments. Today Marleigh has her scans and last week Elizabeth got a good report – her tumors are shrinking. Thank you for lifting both of these young mothers into the trusted timing of God. He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true” (Revelation 21:5, NIV).
